As a bandleader and collaborator, Dimas has presented original projects including Fusion Beat and the Afro Latin Jazz Project, blending contemporary jazz language with Afro-Latin and Caribbean rhythms. His recording work includes notable Latin jazz productions such as Opus Mundi by Eddie “GuaGua” Rivera, as well as his own original recordings.
In addition to his performing career, Dimas is a dedicated music educator. He is a frequent guest clinician at universities, conservatories, and cultural institutions internationally, and is the co-author of the book Afro-Puerto Rican Rhythms, written with Bomba master Jesús Cepeda.
